Costs and Funding
As a general guide the DYNAMO CHALLENGE costs from £975 to £2500 for an entire primary school, depending on how much the school wants to do for itself. This is very good value for such a major health/activity intervention. Costs come down where we have bookings from more than one school in an area, and where there is support from a local health promotion professional. We can be flexible, and are happy to work out something effective and affordable.
We are happy to support a local health promotion professional to act as school presenter and local contact person: managing the whole programme locally, but backed up by our materials, software, advice and roadshow visit. As a community interest company, we will be more than happy to be brought in for a pilot project, to examine ways in which you can roll out the DYNAMO Challenge in your area yourselves, thus keeping costs down for the future, and licencing our Dynamo Challenge software.Talk to us: there’s always a way!
Funding may be available from health and activity budgets within your local authority and health authorities. Also, since DYNAMO involves a large element of out of school activity, with very direct relevance to children’s wellbeing, it may be possible for schools to ask for a significant contribution from parents. Your local authority will have a funding officer who will be able to help with sourcing grant aid. Awards for All may be a starting point.
