About Us
Dynamo is a division of Get Cycling, a registered Community Interest Company run by enthusiastic, creative professionals. Over ten years we have developed and delivered innovative activity events within schools and communities. We work through local authorities, regeneration agencies, public health authorities, youth inclusion agencies, and directly for individual schools and school clusters. Dynamo developed out of our cycling activity roadshows, which have been enjoyed by almost a thousand schools across the UK. We were concerned that our activity and healthy eating message, which has always been the most important part of schools work, left children all excited about trying out new activities, but led to no measurable outcomes in the period that followed. We therefore developed DYNAMO, involving a post-event activity challenge, a follow-up visit, and monitoring of long term behaviour change.
We integrate smoothly with the general functions of the school, and have the tact and judgment to get parents on board, and to encourage them to help out during our visits.
We also offer community activity events, and a wide range of cycling-specific events and programmes. We have experience at all levels: from single programmes for individual schools, to very large programmes delivered over an extensive period. We have project managed and delivered major activity-based festivals, with 10,000 visitors.
